If you’re interested in having me speak at your event (pulpit supply, church service, retreat, camp, conference, college, chapel service, parachurch event, etc.), please fill out the request form below. I am open to speaking on any biblical, spiritual, and/or life topic. You can find the subjects I’m most passionate about by perusing my blog topics but all in all, my passion is to see the good news of Jesus come alive in people and to see people follow Jesus with all their hearts.
I do not have a minimum honorarium, but honorarium levels will be a factor in determining which speaking engagements I can accept. My primary ministry is to the church I pastor and I have to keep a healthy life margin / bandwidth for my own spiritual health and time with my family. I love doing guest speaking, but have to be discerning in how many I say yes to. My honorariums help fund my primary income as I choose to be on a part-time salary at my church to ease the financial burden on our inner city congregation and allow us to hire additional staff.
I founded Crossroads Church (Lansing, MI) in 2006, where I was lead pastor for 13 years. I graduated from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and Cornerstone University. I’m currently planting a multi-ethnic church in inner-city Grand Rapids with the Evangelical Covenant denomination.
I’m the author of Beyond the Battle: A Man’s Guide to his Identity in Christ in an Oversexualized World. I also lead online video conference small groups through the book and have a leader’s guide for those who want to lead their own groups. For groups info, visit www.beyondthebattle.net.
You can sample my sermons here.
I host the The Flip Side Podcast.
You can read endorsement quotes from previous speaking engagements I’ve done below.
