There’s an error starting between 23:44 and 24:01 (timelines vary based on podcast player) where I say “each star is the sun of its own galaxy, with planets encircling it like the Milky Way.”
Correction:
–Each star is the sun of its own solar system.
–Planets don’t circle the Milky Way / galaxies, they circle their sun, which we call a solar system.
–There are an estimated 100-400 billion suns in our galaxy, the Milky Way.
–There are an estimated 2 trillion galaxies like the Milky Way.
–The Andromeda Galaxy is one we can see with the naked eye. Hundreds of billions of galaxies have been observed through The Hubble Space Telescope and James Webb Space Telescope.
The point in the podcast remains the same, I just said the wrong word accidentally, and now you have much more (amazing) scientific information about the universe than you asked for!
