Why Join the ‘Shelter in the Storm’ Book Launch Team

Hi everyone, my new book Shelter in the Storm: 40 Psalms on God’s Faithfulness releases on September 1st and I’m hoping you’ll join the launch team to help get the message into more people’s hands and hearts. A supportive launch team is the catalyst for a chain reaction of people discovering the book, and Lord willing, being shaped and transformed by it as they spend devotional time with God.

Shelter in the Storm is a 40-day devotional through 40 psalms and includes a 6-week small group curriculum. I started writing these during the pandemic, with God providing me oxygen through the Psalms when it couldn’t be found anywhere else. Throughout my life, I’ve always turned to the Psalms when it feels like there’s nowhere else to turn.

The Psalms give us permission to experience the full breadth of human emotion through good times and bad.

The Psalms don’t provide a neat bow on top at the end of difficult circumstances.

The Psalms refute the false “happy ending” teaching that much of the modern Western church espouses directly or indirectly (which lays the groundwork for eventual faith crises).

The Psalms are for real life, and Shelter in the Storm is for real life. This book will be a refreshing encouragement for women and men of all ages when their experience with God and life isn’t adding up to the human formulas we’ve constructed for unanswered prayer, God’s faithfulness, and difficult circumstances.

2. Email a photo or copy of your preorder purchase to shelterinthestorm2026@gmail.com, then sign up to join the Shelter in the Storm launch team here, taking note of launch team commitments:

You’ll end up with two copies of Shelter in the Storm, a pre-release copy in July for you to read, shipped from Our Daily Bread Publishing, then another copy on September 1st shipped from the online retailer where you made your purchase.
